Croatian-American artist Vesna Krezich Kittelson grew up in Split, Croatia. After graduating from law school there, she went to Cambridge-England to study English where Vesna met and married David Kittelson. They moved to Minneapolis, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a master’s degree in design, from the University of Minnesota. She became a part time professor at the private Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Vesna Kittelson has lived and exhibited in three cultures, represented by three cities: Minneapolis-Minnesota, Cambridge-England, and Split-Croatia. As an international artist, she is represented by famous museums: Victoria and Albert Museum, and Tate Britain, London; Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles; Smithsonian Libraries Washington, D.C.; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; Yale University, New Heaven; Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn; Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis. In collaboration with the Weisman Art Museum, and Afton Press publishing house, Minnesota state published a book about Vesna’s career and her contributions to art and culture – “Synthesis, Lost and Found in America: The Art of Vesna Kittelson”, 2020.

Hrvatsko-američka umjetnica Vesna Krezich Kittelson odrasla je u Splitu, Hrvatska. Nakon što je tamo diplomirala pravo, otišla je u Cambridge-England studirati engleski jezik. Vesna je upoznala i udala se za Davida Kittelsona. Preselili su se u Minneapolis, gdje je diplomirala studij likovne umjetnosti i magistrirala dizajn, na Sveučilištu u Minnesoti. Postala je izvanredna profesorica na privatnom fakultetu Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Vesna živjela je i izlagala u tri kulture, koje predstavljaju tri grada: Minneapolis-Minnesota, Cambridge-Engleska, i Split-Hrvatska. Kao međunarodnu umjetnicu predstavljaju je poznati muzeji: Victoria i Albert, i Tate Britain, London; Istraživački institut Getty, Los Angeles; Smithsonian knjižnice Washington, D.C.; Umjetnički centar Walker, Minneapolis; Sveučilište Yale, New Heaven; Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn; Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis. Država Minnesota, u suradnji s Muzejom umjetnosti ,Weisman Art Museum i izdavačkom kućom Afton Press, objavila je knjigu o Vesninoj karijeri i doprinosu umjetnosti i kulturi – “Sinteza, izgubljena i pronađena u Americi: Umjetnost Vesne Kittelson”, 2020. godine.

La artista croata-estadounidense Vesna Krezich Kittelson creció en Split, Croacia. Después de graduarse de derecho allí, se fue a Cambridge-Inglaterra para estudiar inglés. Vesna conoció y se casó con David Kittelson. Se mudaron a Minneapolis, donde se graduó con una licenciatura en bellas artes y una maestría en diseño, de la Universidad de Minnesota. Se convirtió en profesora asociada en el Colegio de Arte y Diseño de Minneapolis. Vesna Kittelson ha vivido y expuesto en tres culturas, representadas por tres ciudades: Minneapolis-Minnesota, Cambridge-Inglaterra y Split-Croacia. Como artista internacional, está representada por famosos museos: Victoria and Albert, y Tate Britain, Londres; Instituto de Investigación Getty, Los Ángeles; Bibliotecas Smithsonian Washington, D.C.; Centro de Arte Walker, Minneapolis; Universidad de Yale, Nuevo Cielo; Museo de Brooklyn, Brooklyn; Museo de Arte Weisman, Minneapolis.
