
Ruža Studer Babić
A dedicated humanitarian based in Switzerland, Ruža Studer Babić has for many years worked extensively on issues affecting the Croatian diaspora.
In June 2016, she launched the online portal Moja Domovina to provide emigrants and returnees with reliable and practical information. Today, Croatians around the world use both the portal and its social media platforms to seek guidance and discuss current topics related to their homeland.
In 2016, she played a key role in the establishment of the IPU – Migrants, Returnees and Immigrants organization, which contributed to the inclusion of a positive amendment concerning the taxation of foreign pensions within Croatia’s Tax Act reform in early 2017.
In recognition of her contribution to the Croatian community in Switzerland, she was elected in 2017 as a representative to the Council of the Government of the Republic of Croatia for Croatians Abroad, where she also serves as Vice-President of the European Committee.
Through sustained engagement focused on improving the well-being of Croatian emigrants and returnees, Ruža and her colleagues have organized numerous humanitarian initiatives supporting communities in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Humanitarka iz Švicarske, Ruža Studer Babić, dugi niz godina intenzivno se bavi pitanjima i izazovima hrvatske dijaspore.
U lipnju 2016. godine pokrenula je internetski portal Moja Domovina s ciljem pružanja pouzdanih i korisnih informacija iseljenicima i povratnicima. Portal i njegove društvene mreže danas koriste Hrvati diljem svijeta za savjete i raspravu o aktualnim temama vezanim uz domovinu.
Godine 2016. bila je jedna od ključnih inicijatorica osnivanja udruge IPU – Migranti, povratnici i useljenici, koja je doprinijela uvrštavanju pozitivnog amandmana vezanog uz oporezivanje inozemnih mirovina u sklopu reforme Zakona o porezu Republike Hrvatske početkom 2017. godine.
Za svoj doprinos hrvatskoj zajednici u Švicarskoj, 2017. godine izabrana je za predstavnicu u Savjetu Vlade Republike Hrvatske za Hrvate izvan Republike Hrvatske, gdje obnaša i dužnost potpredsjednice Europskog odbora.
Kroz kontinuirani angažman usmjeren na dobrobit hrvatskih iseljenika i povratnika, Ruža i njezini suradnici organizirali su brojne humanitarne akcije u potpori zajednicama u Hrvatskoj i Bosni i Hercegovini.

En junio de 2016 lanzó el portal en línea Moja Domovina, destinado a ofrecer información confiable y práctica a emigrantes y retornados. Actualmente, croatas de todo el mundo utilizan tanto el portal como sus redes sociales para solicitar orientación y debatir temas actuales relacionados con su país de origen.
En 2016 desempeñó un papel clave en la creación de la organización IPU – Migrantes, Retornados e Inmigrantes, que contribuyó a la inclusión de una enmienda favorable sobre la tributación de pensiones extranjeras dentro de la reforma de la Ley Tributaria de Croacia a comienzos de 2017.
En reconocimiento a su contribución a la comunidad croata en Suiza, en 2017 fue elegida representante ante el Consejo del Gobierno de la República de Croacia para los Croatas fuera de la República de Croacia, donde también ejerce como Vicepresidenta del Comité Europeo.
Mediante un compromiso constante con el bienestar de los emigrantes y retornados croatas, Ruža y sus colaboradores han impulsado numerosas acciones humanitarias en apoyo a comunidades en Croacia y Bosnia y Herzegovina.
