[:en]3rd Annual Awards recognize accomplished and emerging leaders

Toronto, ON, Canada & Zagreb, Republic Croatia, September 26, 2017 – The Croatian Women’s Network/Mreža Hrvatskih Žena announced today that nominations for the third annual Croatian Women of Influence Award and Future Leaders Award are now open.

The Croatian Women of Influence Award recognizes leadership, innovation and community impact of women of Croatian ancestry and will be conferred to distinguished women from the Republic of Croatia and the vast Croatian diaspora. A Future Leaders award is conferred to enterprising young women from the ages of 16-20. Winners have the opportunity to partner with a network champion and mentor to assist them in developing their projects and future undertakings.

“We are committed to showcasing the important contributions of Croatian women in all facets of society,” said Caroline Spivak, Founder of Croatian Women’s Network/Mreža Hrvatskih Žena and the Croatian Women of Influence awards. “Our mission is to raise awareness of distinguished Croatian women globally for their work in academia, arts and culture, business, leadership and innovation to our military service people and those in our religious orders, the exponential impact of these extraordinary women is remarkable and inspires us all to strive to achieve more.

Nomination forms are available at www.CroatianWomensNetwork.org/Nominate and will be accepted up until midnight local time on Friday, October 27, 2017.

Awards will be presented at a gala event on International Women’s Day, Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia following a day-long conference: Advancing Women, Advancing Economies. Realize the Potential!

In the last two years just some 50 women were selected and recognized for their world-leading contributions. Winners hail from the republic of Croatia and from Croatian diaspora communities in Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Italy, South America, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Croatian Women’s Network/Mreža Hrvatskih Žena (www.CroatianWomensNetwork.org) is a forum for the advancement and empowerment of women. The Croatian Women’s Network and the Croatian Women of Influence Award connect distinguished women of Croatian ancestry from around the world to celebrate their achievements and to inspire, champion and mentor younger generations.

Toronto, Kanada & Zagreb, Hrvatska, 26. rujan, 2017. – The Croatian Women’s Network/Mreža hrvatskih žena treću godinu objavljuje nominacije za nagrade Croatian Women of Influence/Utjecajne hrvatske žene i Future Leaders/Buduće liderice.

Nagrade su utemeljene kako bi ukazale na angažirane, inovativne i utjecajne žene hrvatskoga podrijetla u domovini i iseljeništvu. Nagrada Future leaders/Buduće liderice odaje priznanje djevojkama u dobi od 16 do 20 godina. Nagrađenim djevojkama pružamo mogućnost suradnje s iskusnom mentoricom Mreže u razvoju njihovih budućih projekata.

‘’Utjecajne hrvatske žene su ključ razvoja i brend društva. Cilj nam je ukazati na njihov važan doprinos u svim aspektima društva, a naša je misija inspirirati i podići svijest o istaknutim hrvatskim ženama, koje djeluju u akademskoj zajednici, poduzetništvu, znanosti, kulturi, oružanim snagama i vjerskim institucijama”, rekla je Caroline Spivak, osnivačica Mreže hrvatskih žena i utemeljiteljica nagrade ’’Utjecajne hrvatske žene’’.

Nakon cjelodnevne konferencije ”Napredak žena, napredak ekonomije. Ostvari potencijal!” održat će se dodjela nagrada na svečanoj večeri prigodom obilježavanja Međunarodnog dana žena, u četvrtak, 8. ožujka 2018. godine.

Protekle dvije godine nagradili smo pedeset žena iz Hrvatske i hrvatskih zajednica od Australije, Austrije, Kanade, Njemačke, Italije, Južne Amerike, Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva i Ujedinjenih Arapskih Emirata.

Mreža hrvatskih žena (www.CroatianWomensNetwork.org) je platforma koja pomaže napredovanju i osnaživanju žena. Prepoznaje i povezuje ugledne žene hrvatskoga podrijetla diljem svijeta kako bi njihova postignuća i uspjesi nadahnuli mlađe generacije i pomogli im u ostvarenju njihovog potencijala.
