CWN Congratulates the 2018 Croatian Women of Influence Award Winners
[:en]3rd Annual Award recognizes accomplished leaders from nine countriesToronto, ON, Canada & Zagreb, Republic Croatia, November 14, 2017 – The Croatian Women’s Network/Mreža Hrvatskih Žena congratulates the 24 winners of the coveted Croatian Women of Influence Award and Future Leaders Award, which will be conferred at a gala event on International Women’s Day Thursday, March 8th in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia.
“Recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of women of Croatian heritage is incredibly uplifting to the nominees and award winners and their respective communities,” said Caroline Spivak, Founder, Croatian Women’s Network and the Croatian Women of Influence awards. “Our more than 75 award winners, selected from 175 nominees over the last three years, report that they enjoy continued success and are inspired by the collective achievement of these extraordinary women.”
Twenty-four winners were selected out of fifty-five nominations representing Austria, Australia, Bosnia & Hercegovina, Canada, Chile, Germany, Italy, Republic of Croatia, and United States of America. The Croatian Women of Influence Award recognizes leadership, innovation and community impact of women of Croatian ancestry and will be conferred to 24 distinguished women from the Republic of Croatia and the vast Croatian diaspora. A companion Future Leaders award will be conferred to three enterprising young women under the age of 20 who have demonstrated extraordinary talent at an early age. “Championing our emerging leaders is critical for future success and overall collaboration,” said Spivak.
Awards will be presented at a gala event on International Women’s Day, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Sheraton Zagreb following a day-long conference: Advancing Women, Advancing Economies. Realize the Potential!
