Nada Prkačin

Nada was born in Požega in 1968. She graduated in Journalism from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Zagreb in 1990, receiving the Rector’s Award as the best student of her generation.

Her professional career began during the Homeland War. From 1990 to 1993, she served as Head of Broadcasting at Croatian Radio Osijek and worked as a reporter covering the war zone in Eastern Slavonia. From 1993 to 1995, she was Chief Correspondent at Croatian Radio Požega.

Between 1995 and 1998, she served as spokesperson for Vukovar-Srijem County during the peaceful reintegration of the Danube region. From 1998 to 2014, she worked as a journalist at Croatian National Television (HRT), contributing to news and cultural programming, and served for several years as editor of the long-running historical program TV Calendar.

Since 2014, she has worked with LAUDATO.TV, a Christian family-oriented television channel. She is the screenwriter and director of 30 documentary films and the author of three books related to the Croatian Homeland War. She is also the author and editor of the popular historical program My Croatia.

Her professional focus reflects a strong dedication to Croatian history and to documenting the experiences of ordinary people whose lives were shaped by war, faith, and national identity.

Nada je rođena 1968. godine u Požegi. Diplomirala je novinarstvo na Fakultetu političkih znanosti Sveučilišta u Zagrebu 1990. godine te je nagrađena Rektorovom nagradom kao najbolja studentica svoje generacije.

Svoju profesionalnu karijeru započela je tijekom Domovinskog rata. Od 1990. do 1993. godine bila je voditeljica programa Hrvatskog radija Osijek te ratna izvjestiteljica s područja istočne Slavonije. Od 1993. do 1995. godine obnašala je dužnost glavne dopisnice Hrvatskog radija Požega.

Od 1995. do 1998. godine bila je glasnogovornica Vukovarsko-srijemske županije tijekom procesa mirne reintegracije hrvatskog Podunavlja. U razdoblju od 1998. do 2014. godine radila je kao novinarka Hrvatske radiotelevizije (HRT), sudjelujući u informativnom i dokumentarnom programu te je više godina uređivala emisiju TV kalendar.

Od 2014. godine djeluje na LAUDATO.TV, kršćanskoj obiteljskoj televiziji. Scenaristica je i redateljica 30 dokumentarnih filmova te autorica triju knjiga vezanih uz Domovinski rat. Autorica je i urednica popularnog serijala Moja Hrvatska posvećenog povijesnim temama.

Njezin profesionalni rad obilježen je snažnim interesom za hrvatsku povijest te dokumentiranjem sudbina običnih ljudi obilježenih ratnim iskustvom, vjerom i nacionalnim identitetom.

Nada nació en Požega en 1968. Se graduó en Periodismo en la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas de la Universidad de Zagreb en 1990, recibiendo el Premio del Rector como la mejor estudiante de su generación.

Inició su carrera profesional durante la Guerra de Independencia de Croacia. Entre 1990 y 1993 fue Jefa de Programación de Croatian Radio Osijek y reportera en la zona de guerra en Eslavonia Oriental. De 1993 a 1995 se desempeñó como corresponsal principal de Croatian Radio Požega.

Entre 1995 y 1998 fue portavoz del condado de Vukovar-Srijem durante el proceso de reintegración pacífica de la región del Danubio. Desde 1998 hasta 2014 trabajó como periodista en la Televisión Nacional Croata (HRT), participando en programas informativos y culturales, y durante varios años fue editora del programa histórico TV Calendar.

Desde 2014 colabora con LAUDATO.TV, un canal cristiano orientado a la familia. Es guionista y directora de 30 documentales y autora de tres libros relacionados con la Guerra de Independencia de Croacia. También es autora y editora del popular programa histórico My Croatia.

Su trabajo profesional refleja una profunda dedicación a la historia croata y a la documentación de las experiencias de personas comunes cuyas vidas fueron marcadas por la guerra, la fe y la identidad nacional.
