
Ana Vidović
The extraordinarily talented Ana Vidović hails from the town of Karlovac near Zagreb. She began playing the guitar at the age of five and gave her first public performance at the age of seven. By age eleven, she was performing internationally, and at thirteen she became the youngest student ever to attend the prestigious National Music Academy in Zagreb, studying under Professor Istvan Romer.
Her growing reputation led to an invitation to study with renowned guitarist Manuel Barrueco at the Peabody Conservatory, where she graduated in 2005.
Ana has given more than 1,000 public performances worldwide and has won numerous international awards, including first prize at the Albert Augustine International Competition in Bath, England; the Fernando Sor Competition in Rome, Italy; and the Francisco Tárrega Competition in Benicàssim, Spain. She has also achieved top placements at the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians, the Mauro Giuliani Competition in Italy, Printemps de la Guitare in Belgium, and the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York City.
In Croatia, she has performed with the Zagreb Soloists, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Croatian Radio & Television Symphony Orchestra. She has also been the subject of three television documentaries by the distinguished Croatian film director Petar Krelja.
Izuzetno talentirana Ana Vidović potječe iz Karlovca, grada u blizini Zagreba. Gitaru je počela svirati s pet godina, a prvi javni nastup održala je sa sedam godina. S jedanaest godina već je nastupala na međunarodnoj sceni, a s trinaest je postala najmlađa studentica prestižne Muzičke akademije u Zagrebu, gdje je studirala u klasi prof. Istvana Romera.
Njezin rastući ugled doveo je do poziva na studij kod svjetski priznatog gitarista Manuela Barrueca na Peabody Conservatory, gdje je diplomirala 2005. godine.
Održala je više od 1.000 javnih nastupa diljem svijeta te osvojila brojne međunarodne nagrade, uključujući prvo mjesto na Albert Augustine International Competition u Bathu (Engleska), Fernando Sor Competition u Rimu (Italija) te Francisco Tárrega Competition u Benicàssimu (Španjolska). Ostvarila je i zapažene rezultate na Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians, Mauro Giuliani Competition u Italiji, Printemps de la Guitare u Belgiji te Young Concert Artists International Auditions u New Yorku.
U Hrvatskoj je nastupala sa Zagrebačkim solistima, Zagrebačkom filharmonijom te Simfonijskim orkestrom Hrvatske radiotelevizije. O njezinu radu snimljena su i tri televizijska dokumentarca u režiji istaknutog hrvatskog redatelja Petra Krelje.
La extraordinariamente talentosa Ana Vidović es originaria de la ciudad de Karlovac, cercana a Zagreb. Comenzó a tocar la guitarra a los cinco años y ofreció su primer concierto público a los siete. A los once ya actuaba internacionalmente y, a los trece, se convirtió en la estudiante más joven en ingresar a la prestigiosa Academia Nacional de Música de Zagreb, donde estudió con el profesor Istvan Romer.
Su creciente prestigio le valió una invitación para estudiar con el reconocido guitarrista Manuel Barrueco en el Peabody Conservatory, donde se graduó en 2005.
