Sisters of the Blood of Christ

Sister Anđelita Šokić is a member of the religious community of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, headquartered in Zagreb. Until the fall of 2016, she served as Curator of the Museum of the Blessed Aloysius Stepinac, after which she was reassigned to Australia.

Born in the village of Vidovice in Bosanska Posavina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, she felt a calling to religious life from an early age and entered the convent at just 16. After renewing her first vows, she was stationed in Australia, where she completed a degree in pedagogy and worked at a Catholic school for 13 years.

She returned to Croatia in 1992, during the Homeland War, where she remained until 2016. During this period, she served in multiple roles within the Croatian Catholic Centre and the Archdiocese of Zagreb, assisting auxiliary bishops and vicars general until 2003.

In early 2004, she began working at the Museum of the Blessed Aloysius Stepinac, where she served with exceptional dedication and devotion until September 2016.

Sestre Klanjateljice Krvi Kristove

S. Anđelita Šokić pripada redovničkoj zajednici Klanjateljica Krvi Kristove sa sjedištem u Zagrebu. Do jeseni 2016. godine obnašala je dužnost kustosice Muzeja blaženog Alojzija Stepinca, nakon čega je premještena u Australiju.

Rođena je u selu Vidovice u Bosanskoj Posavini, Bosna i Hercegovina. Poziv na redovnički život osjetila je već u ranoj mladosti te je u samostan stupila sa samo 16 godina. Nakon obnove prvih zavjeta, upućena je u Australiju, gdje je završila studij pedagogije te 13 godina radila u katoličkoj školi.

U Hrvatsku se vratila 1992. godine, u vrijeme Domovinskog rata, gdje je ostala do 2016. godine. U tom je razdoblju obnašala različite službe u Hrvatskom katoličkom centru i Zagrebačkoj nadbiskupiji, u uredima pomoćnih biskupa i generalnih vikara (do 2003. godine).

Početkom 2004. započela je rad u Muzeju blaženog Alojzija Stepinca, gdje je s velikom predanošću i ljubavlju služila sve do rujna 2016. godine.

Hermanas Adoratrices de la Sangre de Cristo

La Hna. Anđelita Šokić pertenece a la congregación religiosa de las Adoratrices de la Sangre de Cristo, con sede en Zagreb. Hasta el otoño de 2016 se desempeñó como Curadora del Museo del Beato Alojzije Stepinac, tras lo cual fue trasladada a Australia.

Nació en el pueblo de Vidovice, en Bosanska Posavina, Bosnia y Herzegovina. Sintió el llamado a la vida religiosa desde temprana edad e ingresó al convento a los 16 años. Tras renovar sus primeros votos, fue destinada a Australia, donde completó estudios en pedagogía y trabajó durante 13 años en una escuela católica.

Regresó a Croacia en 1992, en plena Guerra Patria, donde permaneció hasta 2016. Durante ese tiempo desempeñó diversas funciones en el Centro Católico Croata y en la Arquidiócesis de Zagreb, colaborando en las oficinas de obispos auxiliares y vicarios generales hasta 2003.

A comienzos de 2004 inició su labor en el Museo del Beato Alojzije Stepinac, donde sirvió con profunda dedicación y compromiso hasta septiembre de 2016.
