Dr. Silvia Sušnjić is an expert in the management and implementation of international development projects and research, with more than 15 years of experience leading a number of peacebuilding and conflict mitigation program and research initiatives. Most recently, Dr. Sušnjić worked in Afghanistan leading Democracy International’s $50 million Afghanistan Electoral Reform and Civic Advocacy (AERCA) project, as the Chief of Party. Dr. Sušnjić was responsible for overall project management, research programming and administration implementing nationwide programs Afghanistan’s highly politically charged and insecure environment. She led her team during Afghanistan’s 2014 Presidential Elections in implementing research and civic outreach communities, with a focus on civic outreach to engage Afghan women and youth in the political process.
